Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
Bang Bang Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
Others
- 4 cups fresh lettuce leaves, washed and dried
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil for salmon
- Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the salmon: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crisp. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through but still moist inside.
- Make the bang bang sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the dish: Arrange the fresh lettuce leaves on serving plates. Place the cooked salmon fillets over the lettuce and generously drizzle the bang bang sauce on top.
- Serve: Serve immediately while the salmon is warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can adjust the spice level of the bang bang sauce by adding more or less sriracha according to your taste.
- If you prefer, grill the salmon instead of pan-frying for a smoky flavor.
- Use any type of lettuce you like, such as romaine, butter lettuce, or iceberg for crunch.
- This dish pairs well with steamed rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
- Leftover bang bang sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
