Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup pickled jalapeno peppers, diced
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons Challenge Butter Lawry’s Seasoned Salt Snack Spread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to get it ready for baking the sliders to perfection.
  2. Prepare the cream cheese mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the diced pickled jalapeno peppers. Mix thoroughly until the jalapenos are evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese.
  3. Assemble the sliders: Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves into a baking dish. Spread the jalapeno cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves. Layer the shredded chicken on top, pressing slightly into the cream cheese spread. Then sprinkle the shredded sharp cheddar cheese over the chicken. Finally, place the top halves of the rolls onto each slider stack.
  4. Slice the sliders: Using a serrated knife, carefully cut between each slider to separate them while still in the baking dish.
  5. Prepare and apply the butter spread: Melt the Challenge Butter Lawry’s Seasoned Salt Snack Spread in a small bowl or microwave. Using a brush, generously apply the melted butter mixture over the tops of the rolls and in the spaces between them to enhance flavor and help achieve a golden crust.
  6. Bake the sliders: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese has melted completely and the tops of the rolls are golden brown and slightly crispy. Serve warm immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Shredded chicken can be from leftover roasted or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • If you prefer less heat, reduce the amount of pickled jalapenos or substitute with mild peppers.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing and spreading.
  • Brush the melted butter evenly to ensure a nicely browned and flavorful top crust.
  • These sliders are best served fresh but can be wrapped and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
