Ingredients

Scale

Juices and Liquids

  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup (240 ml) pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cranberry juice (unsweetened if possible)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) lemon-lime soda (optional)

Fruits and Garnishes

  • 1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries – sliced if large)
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves, a handful (lightly bruised)

Sweetener

  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Juice preparation: Juice the orange, lemon, and lime fruits. Reserve about 1 cup (240 ml) of orange juice to use in the punch, and keep the lemon and lime juice or thin slices aside for garnish and additional flavoring.
  2. Mix base juices: In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice. Stir gently to blend the flavors evenly.
  3. Add sweetener: If desired, stir in honey or agave syrup to the juice mixture until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness to your preference.
  4. Chill the mixture: Place the juice blend in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes to chill. This step is optional but recommended for a refreshing drink.
  5. Prepare garnishes: Thinly slice the lemon and lime used for garnishing. Lightly bruise the fresh mint leaves to release their aromatic oils. Slice berries if they are large for ease of serving.
  6. Combine sparkling elements: Just before serving, gently add the chilled sparkling water or club soda and the lemon-lime soda (if using) to the juice mixture. Stir carefully to preserve the carbonation and fizz.
  7. Add fruits and herbs: Incorporate the fresh mixed berries, lemon and lime slices, and bruised mint leaves into the punch. Toss gently to distribute evenly without damaging the fruit.
  8. Add ice or frozen berries: Add ice cubes or frozen berries to the bowl to keep the punch cool while minimizing dilution.
  9. Adjust and serve: Taste the punch and adjust by adding more lemon juice or soda if desired. Serve immediately to enjoy the optimum freshness and effervescence.

Notes

  • This punch is best served fresh to retain its sparkling quality.
  • The optional honey or agave syrup allows you to control sweetness according to your preference.
  • Frozen berries serve as an excellent alternative to ice cubes, keeping the punch cold without watering it down.
  • For a non-alcoholic option, this punch is perfect for parties, family gatherings, or any festive occasion.
  • Use unsweetened cranberry juice to balance sweetness and keep flavors bright.
