Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 full sheets)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Fillings

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the bars.
  2. Prepare Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until the mixture is evenly moistened. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking pan to form an even crust layer.
  3. Add Chocolate: Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  4. Layer Marshmallows: Distribute the mini marshmallows evenly on top of the chocolate layer, covering it completely.
  5. Bake: Place the baking pan in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chocolate is melted and bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven and allow the S’mores Bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares. This helps the bars set properly for easier serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with milk chocolate or dark chocolate depending on your preference.
  • For an extra touch, sprinkle some crushed graham crackers over the melted marshmallows before baking.
  • To avoid marshmallows browning too quickly, keep an eye on the bars while baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Use unsalted butter for better control of saltiness in the bars.
