Ingredients

Scale

Produce

  • 2 small beets
  • ¼ baby watermelon (or 2 cups of watermelon cubes, rind removed)
  • 1 ½ cups mixed berries (strawberries, red currants, raspberries)
  • ½ cup pitted cherries (stems and pits removed)

Instructions

  1. Prep the produce: Cut up the watermelon and remove the rind (optional, but if used, wash thoroughly). Wash the beets, berries, and cherries. You may cut off the ends of the beets if desired. Remove stems and pits from the cherries carefully as cherry pits are toxic and can damage juicers.
  2. Juice the ingredients: Add the prepared produce into a cold press or slow juicer (like the Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer). If using a different juicer, cut the watermelon and beets into smaller pieces for easier juicing. Juice all ingredients until fully extracted.
  3. Serve & enjoy: Pour the fresh juice into glasses or jars with ice cubes for a chilled drink. Alternatively, refrigerate produce before juicing for a cooler beverage. Yield is approximately 750mL (3 cups), suitable for 3 small or 2 larger servings. Enjoy this juice as part of breakfast, instead of coffee, or a healthy snack.

Notes

  • Yield is about 750mL (25 fl.oz.) or 3 cups.
  • You can substitute watermelon with 3-4 blood oranges if watermelon is unavailable or undesired.
  • Always remove cherry pits before juicing to avoid toxicity and prevent juicer damage.
  • Watermelon rind is edible and nutritious if thoroughly washed; however, it will affect flavor and yield if included.
  • Fresh juice is best consumed immediately but can be stored refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or frozen in ice cube trays.
